Every year the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) publishes its State of Food Insecurity and Nutrition in the World Report (SOFI). This year’s report includes a focus on financing as an important lever for addressing food insecurity and includes a look at total financing flows and where they are going.
This lively meet-up will include networking and a chance to hear from one of the report’s authors, Sarah Zoubek, about some of the main take-aways with regards to effective financing approaches for food systems transformation in Low- and Middle-Income Countries and, in particular, how can financing be used as a tool to address funding gaps for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) target end hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition and improve availability and affordability of healthy diets.
